Welcome to the Best of Bilash! On this page you will find a description of how this website works and how you can access all the information and learning materials contained within. The Best of Bilash team is well aware of the different learning styles and preferences that make each person unique. As such, we have created multiple ways to navigate through this website. This site has been designed to function as an online learning resource to help those who are interested in learning more about second language education. The goal of the web site is to provide resources and support to language educators at all stages of their careers, including student teachers, in order to improve the quality of second language education programs.

How should I use the website?

There are many ways to find information on the website but here are some helpful suggestions to find what you are looking for. 

I am a student teacher…

  • Go to the CASE STUDIES section on the sidebar to read reflections from student teachers during their practica.  Each of the reflections includes discussion questions and links to further information throughout the website.
  • Go to the PLANNING section on the sidebar to access information on planning and B-SLIM.

I am a mentor/ host/cooperating teacher…

  • Go to the MENTOR TEACHER section on the sidebar to access videos, advice from experienced mentor teachers and tips for offering feedback and support.
  • Go to the STRATEGIES section on the sidebar to access specific strategies to use in your own classroom.

I am a University instructor…
